We Need You! Young Observer Opportunity – FREE On-line Training!

We have a fantastic opportunity for young people to access FREE on-line training to become a Young Observer.

To access this training, you need to be aged 11 or over and be available on Monday 13th December 2021 between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm.

We need Young Observers to support The Junction in helping the local authority make sure that Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) provision in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland is good and to make sure that provision is of sufficient quality, meets the needs of the children and young people it works with and children and young people have a voice in evaluating the provision that runs this year to inform future delivery.

Young inspectors will:

• Be involved in quality Inspections of HAF delivery
• Develop a Young Persons Framework for Inspection to use at observations
  Get the views of children and young people attending provision (as they are more likely to be honest with peers)
• Produce a short report to feed overall to quality inspections

As a Young Observer you will get;

• The Opportunity to see other provision,
• Share ideas and learning;
• The opportunity to contribute to better provision across Redcar and Cleveland and Middlesbrough for children and young people;
• Access to wider participation and accreditation opportunities (if you’d like them!)
