Young carers are children and young people aged 5 – 25 years who take on, share or are impacted on by a caring role for another family member. They could be helping a brother, sister, parent, grandparent or other family member. A carer is anyone, including children and adults who look after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid
We understand the effect mental health can have on children, young people and families we offer a range of advice and signposting, support and therapeutic interventions as part of the local Getting Help offer to enable you to overcome any difficulties you may be facing.
Youth Employment, Education and Skills Services at The Junction Foundation offer young people a dedicated 1-1 Support Worker to work with them to help them to progress into Education, Employment, Training or Self-Employment.
We offer range of programmes for young people seek to reduce social isolation, build children and young people’s confidence and gain the skills to enable them to influence services, communities and create change through decision making and active involvement.
