Salary: £22,417 per annum, pro rata

Hours: 2.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about empowering young people to thrive in Darlington? The Junction, a vibrant charity amplifying youth voices, seeks two enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Support Workers to join our new team.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work alongside a Lead Group Worker to make a real difference in the lives of young people. You’ll co-facilitate an engaging weekly session (2 hours each) filled with diverse activities designed to nurture creativity, build positive relationships, and foster a sense of belonging.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young people of diverse backgrounds.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn, embracing new challenges with a smile.

As a Youth Support Worker at The Junction, you’ll:

• Support young people during activities, offering individual attention and encouragement.
• Create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.
• Proactively identify and report any concerns or incidents to ensure the well-being of all involved.
• Contribute to a positive and dynamic team through participation in meetings and supervision sessions.
• Gain valuable experience and skills in youth work while making a lasting impact on the lives of young people in Darlington.
