The Junction to Relocate Headquarters, Strengthening Commitment to Community-Based Services

The Junction, a prominent local charity dedicated to supporting children and young people, is delighted to announce its upcoming relocation to new premises, as part of its strategic efforts to enhance its services and better serve the community. The move, scheduled to take place at the end of June, will enable the organisation to allocate more of its funding towards initiatives benefiting local children and young people, instead of building maintenance costs. The Junction will officially designate Westfield Farm, located at The Green, Dormanstown, TS10 5NA, as its registered office.

This site will join the charity’s existing administrative hubs, which include My Place on North Road, Middlesbrough, and Durham Tees Valley Business Centre, Stockton on Tees, within the Tees Valley region. Despite the relocation, The Junction assures the community the delivery of its crucial group work, one-to-one sessions, and events will continue without interruption. These activities will take place across various community venues, educational settings, job centres, libraries, and through home visits, ensuring continued accessibility for those in need. However, starting from the end of June, all postal correspondence should be directed to Westfield Farm. The decision to move represents The Junction’s commitment to achieving a better balance between office space and areas dedicated to delivering vital services to children, young people, and families. As the organisation continues to grow, this transition will provide staff with the benefits of multiple office locations and a more flexible working model, ultimately supporting their delivery needs.

Shaun Hogg, Charity Trustee at The Junction, shared his thoughts on the relocation, saying, “Making the decision to relocate from what has been our high street home for many years hasn’t been an easy one, however, looking at how the charity has evolved over the last 7 years I have been on its board, I’m confident it is the right one. This move will put The Junction right in the middle of the communities we support allowing us to continue doing the work we love.”
