Helen is a Teessider by birth and by choice, with a distinguished career as an NHS Community Psychiatrist specialising in risk management, trauma, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Helen has worked in Redcar and East Cleveland for over 30 years, with key roles in places like St Luke's Hospital in Middlesbrough. Her expertise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT), and EMDR allows her to deliver impactful training in mental health. Though focused on adult mental health, Helen has seen how early adversity affects long-term wellbeing, particularly in under-resourced areas. Her role as Trustee at The Junction reflects her dedication to nurturing resilience and growth within Teesside's youth.
