Albert Park has a rich diversity of attractions and events that include:
All of Albert Park’s outdoor facilities, including open spaces, sport and play facilities will be made available for this programme. An indoor space at Albert Park’s Visitors’ Centre will also be made available for the duration of the programme.
Sport and physical activity will provide the foundation of the of the enrichment activities. A varied and engaging programme of sport and physical activity will be provided throughout each day. This activity will be delivered by qualified sports coaches provided by the Active Partnership, Tees Valley Sport
Middlesbrough Council’s culture team will provide music tuition on each afternoon of the programme through its ‘Musinc’ project. These sessions will help children engage in music for the first time or develop further already emerging musical interest. This activity will have access to indoor space at Albert Park’s Visitor Centre and Albert Park’s Bandstand.
Albert Park’s staff will provide a weekly session of nature activity that will introduce children to the diverse nature to be found and appreciated in Albert Park.
Tees Valley Sport’s sports coaches will provide one formal hour each of nutritional education for the children attending the programme.
